Bowdraper
Bowdraper Contract Cleaning asked us for a ground-up rebuild of an existing site in order to incorporate their new company branding. We carried out web design work using graphic designs provided by customer, creating a web site which integrated perfectly with the new business image.
The company also took the took the opportunity to take advantage of our search engine optimisation techniques, helping to capture more customers from the web and targeting those looking for local cleaning services. The site also includes sales a call-back request feature, as well as anti-spam measures on the published e-mail addresses.
The result is a clean, fresh site with clear contact information and company details which has been successful in generating new business for the client.
The site was developed using HTML, CSS, PHP and JavaScript, and is hosted on Futuranet's UK hosting service.

Time After Time - Clockmakers
The site we built for Time After Time was their first site for promoting their clock repair and restoration business, as well as allowing the publication of information regarding different clock types and clock care guides.
Working to a strict budget, we modified one of our existing templates, customising it to fit the customer's requirements for site layout and design. Although incorporating content generated by the client, we used a number of optimisation techniques to ensure good search engine rankings.
We used Adobe Flash to develop the antique-style clock, which graces the site header, telling the current time in a manner entirely in keeping with the nature of the customer's business.
The site was developed using XHTML, CSS, PHP and Flash, and is hosted on Futuranet's UK hosting service.

Race and Restoration
Race and Restoration requested us to develop a simple one-page web site within a short timeframe to coincide with a major motorsport event. With e-mailed text and images from the customer, we built a clean page conveying contact information and business details as well as an image gallery. From first contact to a live site took just 1 business day.
Following on from the web page, Race and Restoration asked us to design a new logo for them, incorporating elements of the motorsport bias of their work. Using Adobe Illustrator, we came up with a number of concepts before finalising on the one shown on the site, which has now also been turned into vehicle stickers applied to all cars they work on.
As Race and Restoration's grew, we were asked to expand their site to incorporate more information on additional pages, including a projects gallery.
The site was developed using XHTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, and is hosted on Futuranet's UK hosting service.

Futuranet's Communities
In December 2004 we founded the first of our automotive community sites, DISCO3.CO.UK. This was in response to the release of the groundbreaking new Discovery 3 vehicle from Land Rover, and the failure of existing community providers to capture the enthusiasm for this new vehicle. The site was an instant success, and has rapidly grown to more than 6,500 members worldwide.
Following on from DISCO3.CO.UK, we launched RRSPORT.CO.UK for the then-new Range Rover Sport in June 2005, and Freelander 2 owners were covered with the creation of Freel2.com the following February. Sites for the Range Rover (fullfatrr.com) and Defender (Defender2.net) vehicles followed in early and mid 2007 respectively. With the launch of the Discovery 4 vehicle in autumn 2009, DISCO3.CO.UK was co-branded as DISCO4.COM to welcome owners of the new vehicle onto a re-branded version of the site.
These sites now form a family of community sites incorporating forums, galleries, wikis and an e-commerce facility selling vehicle stickers, branded clothing and accessories related to the sites and vehicle ownership.
The sites were developed using PHP, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, and is hosted on a dedicated server with our UK hosting service.
An ongoing Futuranet project, 'Project Spur', is the development and integration of a new generation of forum and gallery software which will allow these sites, and new ventures to come, to serve their members and sponsors well into the next decade and far beyond. This project uses a combination of XHTML, CSS, PHP, the Django framework, JavaScript/jQuery, AJAX and web 2.0 content from the likes of Twitter to create a thoroughly modern web experience for community members.

Futuranet 'Project Storm'
'Project Storm' is our internal codename for our latest flagship project, involving the development of a modular and highly-customisable classified adverts platform for integration with any type of web site or for standalone use.
Storm is being developed around the Django application framework, which allows powerful, scalable and reliable sites to be built rapidly and robustly. We are hosting this system on a low-cost and highly flexible on-demand 'cloud' based hosting system. This is currently based in the US but we are also investigating providers within Europe.
We hope to have a demonstration version of Storm available within a few weeks, and will be posting updates via Twitter. If you require any further information at this stage then please do contact us.
snaptext.com
snaptext.com was a project carried out by Futuranet in 2006 as a "proof-of-concept" venture to develop a site based around a text-messaging information delivery and revenue generation system. The project targeted the housing market and the delivery of property details to a mobile phone handset via SMS text messages.
We developed two web sites for this, a public-facing site which explained the technology, and the main site to be used by estate agents to manage property information for delivery to end users.
The SMS integration used an interface provided by the text messaging supplier, which allow reception of request messages and delivery of the housing information. The site was built around a PHP language framework to accelerate development time and was hosted on a dedicated server for rapid and reliable responses.
With the knowledge gained from this project, Futuranet can offer integrated text messaging systems to customers for customer management, customer acquisition, promotional activities and to add value to many type of site from communities to e-commerce.
You can visit the snaptext information site at snaptext.com, or please contact us if you require a more detailed demonstration of the snaptext technologies.
